Fallen Mouses

3D & VFX

Softwares used:

Simulations: Maya
Render: Redshift/3Ds Max
Comp: After Effects

In 2020, I had the pleasure of producing and creatively directing the launch materials for the new models of mouse, headsets, and keyboards from the peripheral brand of CS world champion Fallen. In this project, I produced videos and ambient images for all the products.

I was responsible for the entire creative process, including conceptualization, storyboards, and styleframes, 3D modeling, animations, simulations, and the production of final images and videos.

Making of

The project begins with a search for references based on the information I gather from the client during the briefing, such as persona, language, campaign objective, product objective, product highlights, etc.

I present these references to the client to approve the direction to be followed, then proceed to develop the main scenes (Photoshop), where I present the concept idea (which in this case is always to creatively and illustratively represent the product’s technical aspects). Usually, this process occurs simultaneously with the development of the first animatic, which is also presented to the client. I call this first animatic the “monster” because it is a mix of visual references timed to the music, along with an explanation of my intention for the scene.

Once approved, we proceed to the production and refinement of the scenes, with one last approval before the final version. In this project, dynamic simulations were made for the cables with paracord, simulating the real behavior of the cables.

I used Maya’s nCloth fabric system for these simulations.

All renders (images and videos) were done with Redshift for Max.
